Usually, when you go out with your crew members, they usuallly go here an there and they end up in front of items, objects or npcs you want to interact with, making them not only to molest you but also making them stay in that position my sugestion is: Put an status bar like the one of the player but smaller with the health bar and below it a button to follow or stay there depending of the current status of the crew member, basically a smaller version of the player status bar but only with the name, health and instead of energy bar, put the follow/stay there button, portraits of the character are optional in my opinion. thats all.
