New Biome Predictions

We have seen glimpses of most of the potential biome types, save for urban ones I think. I'm guessing it is the urban/city biome.

 

How could we predict what the biome will be? They have a tentacle biome. The next could be a CANDY biome for all we know. Maybe a HEAVY METAL biome for HEAVY METAL PLANETS. Maybe a gas giant biome? Maybe a DEATH STAR biome?

WHO KNOWS!

 

The Dark Biome. I saw a world in a picture that was pitch black with a bit of black land.

 

Maybe a forever alone world? Where all you do is sit in the darkness as a leaky tap drips over... and over.

 

But don't we already have them in game?

 

I don't know.. they haven't released offically.

Yeah my guess is that the secret one is something quirky like this.

Maybe it's a rare planet type filled with creatures from other indie games?
I think Tiy also asked for permission to use Diggles (from Dungeons of Dredmor) for example.

 

Chucklefish biome. Trees are regular with pufferfish logos for foliage. Bartwes spawn and mess up your hotbar icon alignments, Tiys spawn and paint your houses different colors, Mollys spawn and steal cake from you, etc, etc.

Maybe... an "America" biome. People in suits attacking you with money. And cheeseburgers and shotguns and apple pie and baseball.

 

for fucks sake you can't land on a gas giant for the same reason you can't land on a star- its not solid its just a collection of gas that might have a cold-ass solid gas core

 

I thought (as far as we currently know) most gas giants had a rocky core?

 

They are Gas Giants for some reason... There's NO rock on that kind of planet... Not even a pixel ! Same for the core... Only Gas Gas and Gas, just a more solid gas... Ice Giants have an Ice Core

 

Do they have underground biomes? Like maybe Giant Caverns or something. As opposed to what they normally would be.

Actually, on my last visit to a gas giant I discovered it did in fact have a solid core... no wait. I didn't do that because the pressure would have destroyed me before I could have dreamed of even thinking about getting far enough into such a thick atmosphere to find out whatever there is beneath the surface. -this is satire, crude, hateful satire-

Point in case: We can only suspect something about something we have no evidence for.

Perhaps asteroid biomes? Some kind of mini biome common in rings of larger gas planets or such?

 

Wasteland. Think a mixture of desert and Corruption.

Just throwing something out there.. a lot had been covered already, its late at night and my imagination had been asleep for the last hr.
