NEW and MUCH improved Black Cat Lapurratory v2.0!

So I needed to do a Universe wipe for one of my mods. Which meant I had to demolish all my bases, settlements, and the cute little Black Cat lab building I had made. It needed to be rebuilt! So I rebuilt it! Even better! And cuter! And... well, see for yourself!



NEW and IMPROVED! NOW WITH:


120% More Grapes! This planet came with its own wild vineyard - two of them even, probably due to one of my mods. But am I complaining? Hell no! Graaaaapes!


85% More Good Ideas! After all, in the head is where all the ideas are made. And the brain is like a whiteboard. Seriously. It is.


118% More Solar Panels! After all, cats all run on solar power. Really they do. Why do you think they always find the sunniest spots to lay in? They're not napping; they're recharging!


28% More Pancakes! What else needs to be said? PANCAKES!


80% More Tail! Tail. That's where the sting is. And in this case, the secondary entrance/exit as well. Use at your own risk.


55% More Crafting! Well, no, not really, it's just better organized.


38% Less Medical! Doctors, veterinarians, whatever you want to call them... either way, brrr! We're better off doing that stuff ourselves. And the less of it, the better! Oh, and that stuff in the back room is not medical; that's for sifting through the atmosphere and sand and stuff.


80% More Science! And extra bio stuff! Because science! And it's also a lot more organized, to make it even more science-y!


28% More Shield! 20% More Cool Wiring! And 88% More Tunnel! That tunnel is dank, old, and really dark. You're not supposed to go in there. The signs say so.


100% More Healing Lake! That was already there when I built this place. There's a bunch of above-ground and underground healing water pools on this planet too. I just improved this one; made it a bit bigger, spruced up the walls a bit, added some nice soft sand and all.


And finally; 100% More... Uhm. Yes. Like that sign said. Do Not Enter. Seriously. I mean it. Sick stuff goes on in that room. Keep out. Really. That means you.

As for those signs; they need a bit of creativity. I got them at the sign dispenser at the Outpost; you can create your own signs there so they'll say what you want. But you do need to be a bit creative when merging them; the Black Cat Lapurratory sign is actually four signs - the upper left says "Blac", the upper right says "k Cat", the lower left says "Lapurr" and the lower right says "atory", all with the text off-set to the sides so that when I merge the signs (just place them slightly overlapping and the borders will disappear to merge the signs into a bigger sign) it all looks more or less correct =^_^=

 

Hee! But there are no famous people to get autographs from! I'm still cruising around to see if I can find Major Tom floating around somewhere...

Well, I'm not the greatest either... yet I managed this build. Of course, it did take me the whole Sunday, plus most of today to furnish it... =~_^=

Well done! I'm more functional minded and suck at furnishing things.. My bases all look more like bunkers/warehouses than living quarters or any other type of place.. The walls/floor/ceiling/room in general are bare and empty with exemption to rooms intended for storage or placing all my crafting stations.. I also have a hard time figuring out where I want what themed wing/area in the build.. Currently, I got a bland cobblestone brick bunker-esque building with windows only in rooms intended for NPC colony update.. I still need to build a neighboring building for farming.. Also, I would like to note, my buildings are boring box shaped.. Again, this is my functionality over fashion showing through in my build designs.. I also have each room spaced identical to each other for a simple grid appearance.. I may break down some walls to merge a few rooms together, but they still match the grid with wall/floor/ceiling alignments.. The only "artistic design" in my build is the grid-based systematic spacing..


I'm pretty sure Minecraft gave me OCD and lead to the decline in my creativity..

 

The grapes are a mini biome in frackin universe... Just thought I'd tell u[DOUBLEPOST=1435587586][/DOUBLEPOST]By the looks of it your pretty well defended against avians... But looks like your screwed if a furry wolf is in the area...

And I most certainly know what you mean. The 'simple' base on my starter planet is quite like that; just a small above-ground box building with a huge underground area splitting off into wide rooms on the left and right (similar to the underground area in this lab, actually), and I just have all my crafting machines lined up in there, plus all the boxes and crates and chests full of stuff I'm hoarding (it's a handy stash for when I start new characters; I can pick up good bows and weapons and such right away =~_^=). And the boarding house I built in one of my settlements (before I had to destroy everything) was a simple stacked-box design with each box being a room that all had the same bed and the same dresser and the same shelf and the same lamp all in the same places =~_^=
But, as a writer of three decades, I still tend to have a quite creative mind, and I guess I'm lucky that I never played Minecraft, either, hee!

Yes, i figured as much; I got similar things on other Lush and Forest planets; whole fields of grapes, or wheat, or potatoes, or carrots, and for my latest character's first settlement planet, even whole orchards of pear trees. But I'm certainly not complaining!

And as for furry wolves... that's what I have the Vulpes and Kemono villagers for. They'll distract the wolves, and then all of a sudden the wolves will be swarmed by lots and lots of kitties who will attack with the FLUFFINESS OF DOOOOOOOM! =~_^=
