Hilltop and Forest. Well, one or the other, probably Hilltop. I'm intrigued by the mention of several additions for high-end purchase by players who need cash sinks. It could also be sings. The monsters sing. Depending upon how bad they harmonize, this could be agonizing. It could even be...disco.
At 2:50 and 3:20 in the video, you can see what seems to be a quarry (note the different dirt color, and the copper and geodes in the second shot) in what I can only assume is the Hilltop Farm. Also, there seem to be geode nodes now, at least in the Hilltop Farm's quarry.
Well we did get a preview of a couple unique silos in some of his prior mentions, but I am guessing whatever this new secret building is its probably something that is a bit more exciting and different. I kind of wonder if one of the buildings will be like a fish nursery where folks could put in a fish for it to start making more fish of that type kind of like the crystalarium but perhaps a bit neater. I'd love to farm me some lobsters. Honestly though, I am banking that the special building will prolly be something to do with the Jumimos since a lot of people expressed being sad about them just up and going and wanted a way to bring them to their farm.
He said something about a flour mill, and sheds, and then he said there's something he's keeping a secret for now. I'm wondering if it's that one funky looking building with the mushrooms on it that looks like a silo.
I really like this. It would also fit into the SDV world where buildings and/or machines reproduce resources.
I like the hill top one best so far, simply for the varied heights in the land, I just kinda like that concept. Will more than likely play through them all at least once.
I will probably have my second save for the Wilderness farm. Now, something is really intriguing me. When multiplayer comes out, correct me if I'm wrong, but it's a four-person co-op possibly? Then there are all these selection of farms. Maybe a farm per person [emoji50]. I don't know, just a shot in the dark [emoji23].
Looks like non-plowable land with renewable hardwood stumps! (CA states they are renewing in the same post that this frame is from.) Very exciting stuff, you'll have hardwood on your own farm.
Just read the news and the forest farm layout is very attractive all of a sudden! Being able to have renewable hardwood stumps on your farm would be so good. Oh man, I can't wait to try out these new layouts!
ALL OF MY YES. I'm really glad he gave us some more clues about the update, I'm buzzing with excitement over here at all the possibilities for designing new farms and exploring all the new content. I hadn't planned to start a new farm before but I'm about 99% sure that now I'm going to have to start at least 4 new ones, if not 5. Just to try out all the new setups.
i love all the new info! the forest farm is gorgeous so i think that settles what i'll choose. it's awesome we'll get both forage and the unique wood to begin with, especially if we're gonna get a few new buildings that presumably require it
I think I may actually do 5 new saves - one with my usual character marrying Seb like she always does, just to start fresh with all the new stuff, and then four new characters, one each for Shane, Sam, Abby and Leah. A different layout and direction for each farm, just to keep things varied. I know I want a chicken ranch with Shane, so something with a modest garden and a huge freerange area for all the hens. I have a character in mind to pair up with Sam and she's cherry obsessed, so she'll have the big cherry orchard on her farm. Not sure about the rest, but I've got a month to come up with farm names, characters, and decide who's getting which bachelor/ette and farm layout. I'll have to play them one at a time though, there's no way I'd be able to divide my attention into five new saves at once. So that should keep me occupied for a good long while. >u>
I'm definitely gonna build Shane a deluxe coop and fill it up with chickens too I think I've settled on the wilderness layout to begin with and marry Shane on that save, I highly doubt the fishing layout is any good for ranching. Or maybe it is? Maybe I could let the chickens free roam on an island, hmm... *Ponders ideas*
Well, you'll have the stumps... but you're still gonna have to wait until you've got an upgraded axe to handle them!
Ah, the Redneck version of the game. Junked cars, rusted out refrigerators, and a lawn full of jimson weeds and forehead-crushed beer cans. Delightful.
