Closed never seen anyone with this outstandingly annoying bug...

it tries to download a file called "M" (which comes in 2 steps) and then it just closes the first time setup tab and no game pops up! any idea what could be happening?!

please, i can't even play the new stable build with this bug/glitch/hack. i need it out ASAP!

that's seriously all i have to say. it does step one and two in about 10 seconds altogether, then it pretends to open it (the adverts that show games on sale pop up) but it doesn't pop up! no log since i can't open it. *sigh* i feel like i always get the muddy end of video game glitches.

 

Can you run the game directly from the exe?

 

any idea where the exe is? i'm a big noob at the inside of computers, but good on the outside.

I have a feeling that is supposed to be "Microsoft Visual C++" but its cutting it off. Go into your pre-requesits folder and install the C++ redistrubutable. It should be within the starbound folder (The one above the win32 folder that Laz listed)

 

i forgot to check my notifications here for a bit, 'cause i was searching the web and got too caught up in it, and i found out how. y'know how it says to use the vc_redist? that's what to do. so if it won't load the game and you get the same thing, listen to the devs and use it! (i forgot worser than a novakid and forgot what was in it... sorry!)
