Nerf now comic: How I feel playing starbound <_<

The comic doesn't seem all that funny, and I don't get what they're trying to say with the "outdated graphics".

 

NerfNow can be crappy like that.

And I don't think I'll ever understand this whole issue with left-handed people. I'm left-handed, and have never had a problem with WASD movement or using a mouse. Hell, I didn't even know left-handed mice EXISTED. Also, if you're left-handed, then shouldn't WASD movement be easy since you would be using your left hand?

Unless you need your left hand in order to use the mouse, which is a rather foreign thought to me.

Now I'm sitting here looking at my hands being all 'I don't understand'

 

Nerfnow doesn't have a sense of humor because he plays DotA. And not even his DotA comics are funny.

He's also really, really bad at the game. I've played with him. I had to carry him as Night Stalker.

 

Remind me again WHY he makes comics?

 

Because he THINKS he's funny.

Just like Tim Buckley. And almost every other webcomic artist nowadays.

I wouldn't say ALMOST any webcomic artist.
I've seen quite a few good ones. Awkward Zombie, Dark Legacy Comics, Scandinavia and the world, Hiimdaisy*, etc.
*Alright, so Hiimdaisy's over. I don't care.

 

Hence, almost every. I didn't say outright every single one.

Oglaf also comes to mind, but that's R-18. Still funny, though.

 

Well, I guess I was just trying to say I haven't really come across many bad ones.

My sympathies for anyone that has remap issues right now. I can't stand playing games where the controls just feel wrong to me (sigh SWTOR galactic starfighter)

 

Humor is subjective. What one person thinks is funny, another doesn't. Some people think Will Ferrell is a comedic genius. I think he's a no-talent hack.

I guess I kind of get this. I'm left handed, and I also use wasd because it's just natural for me, but I remember a time when I did not have a desktop or a mouse, and while playing minecraft I had to rebind the keys so I could play competently. Dat run-on sentence.


So I could understand if my left-handed brethren were on laptops, but on a desktop, wasd encourages a natural thing that is always encouraged; left hand on keyboard, right hand on mouse.

 

Handle my mouse with my trusty southpaw.

Gravitate toward key interface on the number pad.

Tolerating the mildly uncomfortable shifting of my right hand to the default bindings.

It honestly only bothers me because I tend toward stray presses of "Z," sometimes very inopportunely.

 

I am right handed and I use WSAD with my left and mouse with my right.. Any other setup feels alien to me.. My left hand gets a workout pushing all kinds of button combinations in quick succession while my right hand sits there lazily pushing 1-2 buttons at a time..

To walk daigonaly forward while crouched and use a voice command in TF2 I use W+A+Shift+Z/X/C/V depending on voice command I wish to use.. That is using my Pinky, Ring Finger, Middle Finger, and Index Finger.. If I want to crouch-jump (jump then crouch in mid-air) I also use my thumb with that combo.. Meanwhile my right hand only uses Left or Right click and sometimes mouse wheel to scroll weapons and thumb button to voice chat.. I use only 2-3 buttons tops and rarely.. Typically I only use either left or right click when I do use my mouse buttons.. And yes, I have a gaming keyboard which allows me to press up to 5 buttons without ghosting..

 

It seems unfair to mock a game about an unimplemented feature when it isn't even completed.

 

Left handed, use WASD. Bro do you even keyboard?
