After nerfing gravity, that pretty much will allow the ability for us all to live out our dreams of being immortal space explorers.

With that said, I played a few hours last night and had a lot of fun, even with the birds hitting as hard as they did. The danger required me to put priority on being survivable which but a higher value on resources requiring me to dig deep, which in turn made me improve my Armor as the monsters started to hit harder the deeper I dug. The weapon reach and damage arc/ swing became the primary focus while choosing which weapons to equipt. The weapon knockbacks allowed me to crowd control mobs, i found spears and heavy 2 handed weapons most effective.

There were so many times I was sitting on the edge of my chair during combat it gave a sense of accomplishment when I managed to survive to explore deeper and deeper.

I encourage other players to start fresh when the developers suggest you too. It will help them bring a well rounded game to fruition. They are doing a fantastic job, but they need your help and constructive feedback.

Seriously, don't nerf gravity. Maybe though on desert planets buff sunburn. If you can freeze to death you should be able to boil and blister to death.

    That is all for now..

I feel the gravity shouldn't be changed too much. It's around the right spot. Maybe tweaking it a bit, or making each planet with a different gravity strength would be fun.
What they could add though, would be a safer way to get to the asteroids, if there are some. Or a safe way to descend from them or jump from one to another.
Something like a jetpack or an aircraft. Or some kind of drop pod mechanic to land safely from orbit/asteroid height to surface.

Hi Viivrabe, it appears you had not understood my sarcasm.

Melchi, you make a good point, I noticed some starbounders are ascending high into the atmosphere of planets to mine asteroids. I think it would give a great sense of ambience if the player was to experince a switch in gravitational pull.
