nerf birds immediately

I am on my first planet on the alpha sector, minding my own business, trying to get the starmap upgrade... Thought it'd be a piece of cake, and then... suddenly, I realize that all my weapons do little to no damage anymore, and a bird swoops down, vomits blood on me and deals 63 damage. I die immediately. I had taken every precaution possible. What is wrong with this game's balancing today? I can't do anything because these birds fucking shit on me constantly! Yesterday I was raiding villages in the blink of an eye and today I'm lucky if I can even kill a mob...! This is awful! Please fix this!

There have been quite a few posts about the flying mobs being to strong, the devs are aware of this and this will probably be fixed in one of the upcoming updates.

 

Pretty sure all the ranged projectile attacks on mobs are broken right now rather than simply being OP. I'm in tier 3 and wearing maximum tier 3 armour + a unique tier-4 equivalent helmet, and I still get one shotted by birds and a small number of ranged ground mobs

I actually like the overly aggressive birds. The ground mobs are already easy enough. I'd say just reduce the aggro range for the birds. I really hope they don't just nerf them entirely. :-/

Yeah some of their abilities are pretty sick but hey, I have alot of fun dying on them

The birds seemed just fine to me. I am only up to steel armor though and it might change afterward?

 

I have a feeling that you didn't get dropped on the same planet at start as us with 15,000 species of highly aggressive fire-breathing birds. Seriously, I died 15 times to them trying to chop my first tree.

 

All this whining about difficulty will eventually bring the introduction of a creative/peaceful mode. I wouldn't mind a hardcore mode.

 

It's only really difficulty in the first 5 minutes of the game. Once you have a bow, it's a little better as you can take them out at range.

 

This. Alfred Hitchcock would be proud of these birds. And they're not hitting too hard imo, not any harder than anything else anyway.

 

I actually started off the game with an Elite bird at my spawn point. Survived with 2 bars of health. MOST EPIC BATTLE EVER!
