So I decided that I wanted to create an item that opens an inventory upon use. Thinking it would be a combination of a consumable and a chest/crate item, I went into the consumables, learned that consumables created effects, and decided to make the "opening of an inventory" a new effect. However, upon examining the effect asset files, I cannot find any clues as to how the effects were created mechanically. Does anyone have any insight to whether I can create new effects or not? maybe I'm going about this the wrong way.
