Say hello, to Chirddy. The Chirddy was once a peaceful and gentle race of airborncreature that lived in tree tops on the planet of Helios, after Helios got attacked by a race of omnivourous beings,a group known as "Endanger Force" took as many Chirddy aspossible and relocated them on safer planets with forestry. This move to a new environment spooked the Chirddy, and spooked chirddy are not to be messed with, unless you wanta facefull of peck marks.
Haha, thanks I saw some pretty serious looking entires, and thought we could all do with a bit of a comic one
In photoshop, you make a frame on each layer, then use the animation bar to make a new frame and hide all layers other than the frame you want for there... its a bit complicated, haha. Yet another creature in a game that people want to hug, but it just wants to kill them
How simple~ I like it c: You did a good job .D Though, there's one thing I dislike about sprites, and that's the checker-shading :v Then again, is there a better way to shade using sprites? >> Eh whatever, you did a good job c:
The checker shading is known as dithering I'm a bit new to it, but i'm trying to get a hang of it, done right, it just blends amazingly
Angry birds are real! I knew it! haha seriously though great job! I hope I can see this in the game wish i knew how to .gif
Lol! It does look a bit angry birdish doesn't it! and thanks I'm not expecting to win, but it's fun entering Thanks The old animation was a bit choppy, and the colours weren't right at all, so I did a bit of a redesign Yours is quite amazing too, the effort you put in with the details, I hope to see it in game, it really reminds me of the big hog guys from Hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy!
The contest will get very interesting I think. There's still so much time, and yet there are already so many good entries. I'm really excited to see what some people will come up with, that really work on it till the last day. ^^
Yeah, there is so much time left, i'm sure a lot of people will edit their current entries over time, and the ones that hold out til the end will probably be amazing. Still, we don't exactly know the judges preference, a space slug could win over a 200ft tall mammoth thing drawn amazingly
You can download a 30 day trial from adobe.com, other than that, I don't know of any good pixel-art orientated free programs that include animation. Graphics Gale is all I can think of, but it costs a bit. I'm not aware if Paint.net has a new animation feature, you may want to check though, GIMP is free, and I think it has the same method as photoshop. Thanks, I really appreciate that, I really only did it for the fun though
