Name!... That!... ROOOBOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, we know that there's gonna be a robot race, right? But the devs are having troubles coming with a name. So I think we should try and help them and try and come up with the most create robot race name you can think of.

I'll start off... I think Calculoids would be a pretty awesome name.

 

I was thinking just "Robot" would do. 'Cause that's what they are.

But if we're gona go about callin' 'em something else: Synthoids, or just "Synths". Maybe Silicons?

 

They should be called Rhobots.

 

I said it in another thread: Meccans (from mechanic + Mecca). It might not fit if the devs already have some lore planned for them, but I think the idea of a hyperreligious robotic race is quite amusing, and I fancy some steel plate and neon mosques and minarets.

EDIT: Oh! And the Kaaba? A super mainframe governing them all!
EDIT2: And their gods are Logic and Mathematics, of course!

M'aiq chooses to call all robots 'Clank', as they usually carry ratchets.

 

There is a steampunk/fantasy webcomic where mechanical automatons are called "clanks", but I don't remember the name anymore.

EDIT: Found. It's called Girl Genius, and it's interesting both in storyline and in artistic style.
