Mysterious Ancient Race?

So, from the lore we know, it seems as if there was another mysterious race that created the Glitch and Novakid, and a race that gave the Avians their technology. I wonder it's the same race that did all three? If so, what will the lore say about them? Will they be an important part of the storyline? I'm thinking of some Forerunner-esque thing going on here. What do you all think?

 

What if a Novakid was made naturally, got bored, made more Novakids, got bored, made the Glitch, got bored, faffed around with the Avians, and so on.

 

Chances are its one of those generic ancient races such as the the "Endless", "Protheans", "Dwarves" (Elder Scrolls), "Forerunners" etc. I don't think they'll be too prevalent but chances are the final tier of items will all be leftover tech from that race.

 

While I prefer RaxynSword's explanation, yours is more probable. Oh well. I'm not complaining. I just want the Beta...

Eh, I doubt it. Considering the fact that the Novakids develop extremely slowly and don't give two shits about science its more likely that Humans/Apex would have been the Ancient race at some point.

 

Exactly, it could explain why they're all spread out as well. But I said that as mostly a joke. (It could still happen though) And Sousuke's answer is probably the right one since it's the common route devs, producers, writers, ect. take.

 

I'd just like to clarify that the Novakids just spontaneously appeared. It's like nature's own deus ex machina.

 

Well Novakids are created from a dying star. Now i guess it could be possible that they went around interfering with the other races, but i always has the idea it was a race that is not playable, what that race is i am not sure.

 

My grandpa is pretty mysterious and ancient. I think he's more into golf than creating races, but you never know.
Really, though, I think they should be extinct, with all kinds of ruins which contain powerful world-changing-type tools.

 

I feel like the "creations left over a from a highly-advanced progenitor race" slant is overdone. I like it and all - the Forerunners, Ancients (Stargate), Progenitors (Homeworld 2), et. al. are cool, but at this point I'm fine with the more mundane Geth-like approach of "we created a race that went rogue" that we can all thank the Quarians for, or that the Novakids were formed naturally.

Keep in mind: I might be missing some things here because I've read very little of the available lore.

When it comes to this topic my questions are more centered around the glitch. If it is one race then why did they develop such an interest in how other races developed to make a AI experiment out of it? One possibility I'm thinking about is that if it was one race then did they develop that interest before or after they gave all of that technology to the avians? Did they develop the glitch to figure out how to uplift a race? Or did they develop them to figure out what they did to the avians or why they didn't kill themselves off when given the technology to? Perhaps more interestingly then the avians themselves is the question of are they the first they got it right on and if so are they're first "mistakes" still running around the galaxy somewhere? All interesting questions that i hope the story line will touch on.
