My thoughts as to why the Novakids aren't in the beta.

The Novakids are described as having short attention spans. Now, this is just a speculation, but what if the Novakids aren't in the beta because they forgot they had to be in the game? After all, they don't tend to focus too much. So maybe it's not that the Novakids don't exist yet, but maybe it's just that they forgot they had to make their appearance while chasing space cows and riding flammable bulls.

 

funny theory, but the reason is because they were not originally planned to be in the game, and the devs just didnt have the time to add them
still like that idea though, riding flammable bulls <--------- I want to see that

 

This needs to be official lore.

 

if this becomes official lore i might actually want to play as a novakid by 1%

These Novakids have (Too much hype + speculation + extended incubation = crushing disappointment) written all over them.

What can be disappointing about them? All it is is a skin and a fancy resurrection animation.

 

no matter how starbound updates everyone will still be disappointed

As to what you quoted, I can see his point of view on it, although not agreeing with it. Really I just think it is concept. Each race has a different concept as a whole; not just graphics. There is only disappointment if you were to expect something too much of it obviously, otherwise there is none, or shouldn't be. >.>

Besides this race was said to be put in a later phase, if not after(or right before) the official full release. Even that is speculation, but they do have it in mind to add them. More pressing things to be added I would assume.

Besides the mod seems to be just fine for now...

 

except you don't have super amazing space cowboy armor in the mod. it's a crime, honestly.

 

Wouldn't know. I don't really use many mods, if any at all... I am happy primarily playing floran in vanilla...lol

If that is true, then I guess they are what they are for the moment. I am sure that when they do get in game they more likely have such a line of clothing & armor...

 

Maybe they haven't finished the race yet, like ocean planets. Mindblowing thought yes?
