My problem with hopping creatures

The one and only thing I think i REALLY dislike in this game, is the creatures that use the "triple hop" attack, my computer can't run starbound flawlessly , its kinda laggy most of the time, but not tremendously, and it's impossible to hit these creatures, they only stop jumping for half a second, and do a lot of damage, and I may be the only one who thinks like this, but its really annoying to die almost every time to these things, and on my home planet for my avian, the two daylight hostile creatures, both use the "triple hop" attack, and I was wondering if anyone else thinks this way too.

P.S. Don't know if this is the wrong section for this, if so, then sorry.

A little ironic, considering if you did not have lag, you would likely be like me and find that Triple Hop is the most pointless and easily countered attack pattern ever.

Now, Bash... That one gives me no end of grief. No warning whatsoever, just *bam* there goes your face.

I sorta dislike bash too. I can only get the game to run with 3d analyzer, and even then I find its still laggy, and I have yet to find the settings to significantly reduce lag...

Those things don't jump, they fly. I remember one, once; I had my volume really high, and it jumped up and made this loud roaring noise when I was just casually walking. I got freaked out; I've never had a jump scare like that. It wasn't even suppose to be one. The bloody thing just skyrockets up into the sky, roaring loudly like some tiger, jumping straight on me.

I find those monsters that do teleport attacks the most annoying ones, had one pushed me unto a lava pool. D:

Yeah it's crazy, if there's one thing I hate about the game it would be the way monsters move... It's way too exaggerated... They even have instant reflexes: if they're midair and you decide to move the other way to dodge them they instantly swap direction and literally soar through the sky just to land right on-top of you. They can actually accelerate in mid-air... And not just a tiny bit. I wouldn't mind it if just one or two monsters were like this, but most of them seem to follow this behavior.

I wonder how things will be after the combat overhaul.

Monster updates are in the talks, so this will probably nit be a problem in the future.

Hopefully the hopping creatures won't be so much a problem for me. :DD

...You don't like your physics broken? :lod:

I hate triple jump. Just because I can never seem to hit my enemy.

Optimization is still a thing guys. I for one enjoy any attack intentionally pisses me off.
It makes the game more interesting rather than just jousting with the blasted thing.
As for OP's lag problem that sounds like a minimum requirements or a graphics problem. It may be fixed in future updates.

I hate monsters in general. My computer has some unexplainable lag (chunks load slow, yet I can walk around normaly) and the monsters slow down too.. which makes it so easy to kill them cause basically they're stuck lol

I have the same problem on my home planet. Picked items always pursue me quite a while because they're too slow. Monsters often stuck in mid-air for seconds and become completely paralysed.

Well, the way monsters attack will be changing considerably in the comming patches (read, "patches", I don't think it will be the next one).
People will lag issue will most probab;y still have trouble with them but the idea is, no more contact damage unless it make total sense for the creature like covered in spikes.
Monsters will try to line up at some distance from you and then attack with a short warning. Should clear up the issue for most people.

It was mostly humor with a bit of suggestion mixed in.. The iDoom is a Glitch racial 2-handed hammer with an overhead swing.. It is made of impervium as previously mentioned.. Each race makes their own version of it with different graphics but identical stats.. Effectively, I was suggesting you make the 2-handed impervium hammer.. The Glitch's version just sounds comical and fitting..

I know it was humor, I know the glitch t10 hammer is the iDoom, and I was making a silly reply to your silly comment
