My hype is dying

People need to focus on other things. I find it disturbing how much hype and extreme cynicism is consuming these forum goers minds. The development staff is way more in touch than most games yet that is not enough for most People. Also the developers don't have to tell any one every time a new line of code is input, in all honesty they may be a little too transparent from what I remember once someone screen shoot important coding.

 

Where is your entitlement to information like release dates and such? And if you say the money you donated entitles you to it, take a look at the definition of word 'donate'.

And what is yours exactly? Do you work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week?

Dude, you're taking it wrong then. They are showing us those streams TO GIVE US INFORMATION, ISN'T THAT WHAT YOU WANT? Fuck man, excuse my language, but you are just being the most ungrateful person I've seen. Even you aren't content with what you want. You want them to update us, you've already gotten that, it's why their streaming, to show us progress, and now you aren't even content with that.

 

I suggest you just let this thread die. Ignorant people are ignorant, there's always some of them in this world.

 

A bit more civil? You want civil? You almost single-handedly caused all of this by badmouthing the developers of the game you donated $75 to, so please don't talk about civility whenever you did what you did.

I didn't donate $75, you're right. I only donated $45 so 3 of my other friends could play with me as well.

yes... but by watching them play with "their friends" (who are usually other devs btw) you can see what the game has to offer---meaning you get information.

 

Bart and Kyren's streams are mostly coding.

They are working on in-game issues and adding new content ALL THE TIME.

There has been plenty of information given so far given that it's not even in beta yet, and as Molly said, the Roadmap will be updated once a month.

Be patient, and be civil, or I will shut this flamewar down in a real hurry.

I apologize if I suggested you were. I don't believe I did though. I'm simply trying to explain a view from an opposing side that I happen to agree with.

 

They show what they have so far, and tell of the fixes and adding they've done. No stream is ever irrelevant.

If you truly love Tiy and his games, you wouldn't be demanding for information.

I probably shouldn't freak out like this, seeing as I only read SOME comments, most of which bashed the developers and made out that they were intentionally teasing you.

You are entitled to nothing but what was stated.
This means you get the beta and full game some time in 2013. It doesn't mean you deserve a release date, it doesn't mean you get the right to bash chuckle fish, whom are working around the clock to get a game they all depend on for lively hood, out to us.

There has been a ton of info out there, if you're new to starbound (a few months) and you're complaining about wait time, you literally have no right, a ton of us have been following this game since day 1, and we're not whining. So you paid for it? All it stated was "Beta 2013, Release 2013" it didn't say you'd get a release date, want to know the golden reason why? Release dates can cripple games, lets say they say May 29th for release, the date rolls around and it's just not ready, they're going to get a ton of you lot whining down their throats about how they promised and said the game would come out, when really, it's not in a proper state to be released. Yeah they could update it to be a proper game post-release, but thats also what ruins games.

TL;DR people, I'm assuming starbound isn't the only game in your life right now, go play some other games and check the site every few days for news, coming here and bashing the developers for a release date helps nobody. NOBODY BENEFITS.

 

Don't worry, there's a plenty of information. You just have to look for it.

 

i takeback a few of my posts i recently said. Starbound looks amazing and i cant wait to play im sorry if i got anyone upset. I am just very impatient.
