I was asked to post my art! ^_^ I'm assuming I would have to post it here, so here you go! Tell me what you think! : )
Nice, although I hope you wouldn't mind some friendly critique...? Key word friendly there; they're pretty slight, and I'm by no means an expert. I'll await your permission.
Ah, it's fine with me! I already realize there are things wrong with it, I just never bothered to fix. : P But I'd love to hear it, I wish to improve! : ) Thank you so much! : D
Alright then, hope this isn't too harsh: There's a lot happening on the face in comparison to the rest of the body, which confuses the eye. At first, the lines came across as wrinkles, making the character seem old; I'm assuming this wasn't intended, but I could always be wrong. Personally, I would suggest simplifying the face a bit, but it's always your choice. Next, there are the shoulders; they aren't bad, but for some reason they don't mesh perfectly well. She (assuming the picture is of a she) seems much too relaxed to have her shoulders squared. Lastly, the stomach/waist of the kimono is sticking out a bit much; she looks pregnant. If these were intentional, mission accomplished! If they weren't, you may wish to consider fixing them. Sorry if I'm being super critical; I just know I'd rather have somebody be super critical than super passive, but that doesn't mean I want to accidentally hurt your feelings. It's still very nice, and you definitely have a lot of skill!
Thank you so much for being honest with me! : ) It's very much appreciated, I'll make sure to keep these in mind! I'm very thankful, honestly. Considering this is the Internet, it takes a lot to give someone a critique and not get hate in return. : P But I'm glad you decided to say this, it'll really help me in the future. Thanks again! : D
It's an interesting paradox--if I say something's wrong, I feel like a jerk; but when people tell me "It's perfect!" I'm unsatisfied because I know something's wrong. Glad to hear I was helpful in anyway!
It's awesome! I love it! While I agree with Vurrunna's critique, it's darn better than any pixel art I've ever done. I could automatically tell it was an axolotl.
