My first 10 hours into the game and I feel stuck, bored.

  1. Coordinates please? I've been to many planets -- but none described like this. The biggest planet types take me 2~3 in-game days to fully explore their surface (ignoring everything but large surface ore deposits). 6 Hours of mining straight down and not hitting lava is either the most overblown exaggeration I've ever read, or one of the most interesting bugs in planet generation. Even on the biggest planets, you should be able to hit lava within 30 minutes of exploring underground. Less if you are indeed digging straight down.

Just a heads up, as I'm assuming this is your first time through; In every sector -- you should be able to find small deposits of the next sector's ore needed to craft armor that will prevent you from being 1-shot when you move to said sector. The easiest way to gather said ores is to visit Desert/Snow planets, which usually have a higher amount of ore and are easily mined. Desert; because when Fine Sand gives away, it auto-mines any ore within itself. Snow; because snow and ice are incredibly easy to mine through.

Monsters shouldn't be 1-shotting you if you have that sector's tier of armor. In fact, you should be doing just fine by the time you've crafted your race's Race Specific Armor. Are you sure you're just not (unluckily) encountering mini-bosses?
You can find guns from Avian Merchant Ships -- they drop too, but it can take a while to find a good one.

You're just mining the wrong planets. Additionally, with the above mentioned suggestion to mine Snow/Desert Planets -- you can make it out of Alpha sector with a Diamond Pickaxe.

Most of what your encountering here is basically beta-syndrome. The base game is there, most of the features are there, it's playable, and it reads well. But the fine tuning and polish are still on their way.

As I understand it, a lot of the monster AI is still being worked out. Check again, are you sure that the monsters aren't "grazing"? Cause grazing was added in the last patch and is still a bit wonky. You can catch monsters and keep them as pets. NPC villages fight back if there are guards present. Individual NPCs try to run away if they are attacked. You can offend villagers by using a weapon, and they will eventually attack you.

Every planet should have at least 1 major dungeon. On the biggest planets, you can encounter 3. Some planets have underground expanses with merchants, mobs, and loots -- those count as one of the dungeons.

Try rushing to Sector X and building something uninhibited. Sorry you're bored, but you're just going to have to deal with it while we're in early beta.

Explore the mods that are available...creative mod is really nice, but singler player only.

I literally mined straight down for six hours.

The hole was so massive I can freefall into it and I wouldn't reach the bottom for a few minutes at least.

On the navigation page of the solar system, the planet takes up nearly the entire window.

How do I get the coordinate's? I left that planet a long time ago. Is there a way to look in my game files?

I would be happy to share the coordinate's if I can get them somehow. I think I overwrote my original home planet with a gamma sector planet. When I was playing with friends I wanted to take my spaceship to my buddy's planet so I set my home planet where I was at to remember.

There's no apostrophe in any of the words you're posting that are plurals. You've done it in every post and it's the most annoying thing in the universe!
