    I water planet, eh?

I always add huge water sections to my houses, often to keep the water close, and use it for something else, so a planet entire covered in water could be interesting. But what good is a planet made of water without submarines?

Oh... I'm remembering seaQuest. That was a nice series until they jumped the shark with random nonsense in the second season.

I wanna do a water base. That was my favorite base I had ever built in Terraria, a fully glass base under the left-side ocean. On top of it I made a tropical island, and my air-lock made a waterfall flow over the tropical island. It was neat.

By 'impossible' I mean in any way that would actually justify the work. For instance that involves glitches and screws the whole game, and knocking out one block will fuck up everything forever. Starbounds equalization system and actual water physics make it both practical and actually enjoyable, not just a glitch like Terraria.

(Also I did say 'kinda impossible', because water would destroy itself, and the forests were underwater and stuff, wasn't actually a marine environment)

Hmm interesting, maybe the glitch I'm thinking of only applied to draining bodies of water. I had people create massive underwater floods more than once on my server by breaking into the bottom of a large lake where the water level never went down but more water kept pouring out endlessly.

I didn't know that water even had glitch like that. I just set up pump on a bottom of a cave that was full of water, no air in it at all, then out pump was above it somewhere high in the air, and it would generate a lot more water then what was in the cave. It was a while ago, but I think I remember water in cave was going down, however amount of water that was generated from out pump was insane so even small cave produced more water then both oceans combined and then some. I thought it was pretty known issue with pumps generating extra water, don't know if it ever been fixed or not later.

I actually built a waterfall on the back of my house in my most recent map. I had a pretty modestly-sized lake (maybe 20 blocks across, 30 deep) with a pump at the bottom and the output attached to my house up above. It didn't last long because the intake pump never dropped the water level even a single pixel so I just ended up flooding the place.

I actually designed a Global Flooding Device (GFD), that ran on a crab engine. The pumps work just like the buckets do but at a quadruple rate (buckets don't need a full block to fill, but always create a full block when dumped). All it took was building a tall tank and letting the water loop itself until it passed an overflow valve that dropped all excess water into my world. It took an immesureable amount of time to flood my world, my goal was 600ft above, but I was happy at about ~578ft. The only problem is that I have to carefully dig my way into hell or all the world's water would spill in and evaporate.

Now I want to take a nice normal planet, build a lava proof base, and cover it in lava

So would u live under the ocean in a pineapple or live on a boat?

I like the idea of having a large fish tank, unless in a controlled enviroment i wouldn't reccommend just piling all the fish in there, but to have a personal couple of labs with screens, controls panels and various other land animals and fish in glass containers pleases me, particularly in a ocean base.

If I found really weird thing, I'd do that. Make a lab and put it in a tube.

I'm hoping we can build on the planets moon then i can be the evil overlord of a entire planet. Part of me knows this is wrong the other part of me wonders if i can use acid rain on my people for amusement. So gives me a excuse to rebuild structures and improve them not like i need one xD

but of course you'd have laser guided missile sharks patrolling the waters... right?

The OP sounds like an idea i had in minecraft once, to collect all the hostile enemies i could in a zoo type structure, then i found out that they'd vanish if i went more than a few minutes away :( i had like 30 slimes bro! :(

An ocean planet? Kickass. I wouldn't mind havin' a small little underwater home on one of them. :)
Heehe, this is going to be so much fun once it's finished. xD
