This Insect like monster is known as the Lok-Hrah. This species is found in a heavily flooded marshes or extremely humidified jungles. The Lok-Hrah is a singular predator, and a very skilled adaptable one. They are fearless or do not know fear as singlular Lok-Hrah are seen attacking creatures of their size or larger. Even if it means their own death. When attacking they use a acidic spray to disorient the prey as they rush at the victim with surprising speed and force, at times hopping like our Earth's ancient grasshoppers would. Their oral tentacles seem to be secreted with something that seems to melt through just about anything. The vibrant red and yellow crest is there to attract females as well as intimidating foes. Both is done where the Lok-Hrah inflates it's crest even more and spreading its arms out back as if it wanted to fly. It's arms are in a position which has lead us to believe that these insects used to fly or could go airborne, but in this current habitat its seems to have lost its need for flight. Though light glowing blue sensors on the tip of its fingertips are used as a sensory tool. Lok-Hrah have poor eyes so these are their main way of sensing. It is so strong that it could sense a prey 50 feet away by feeling the atmosphere. That is also probably why they keep their hands behind them as to guard them as well as detect threats from behind better. This is all I have found out about this new species, and I have never seen a creature like this before. Though I am getting reports of creatures that also fits the profile of the Lok-Hrah, but in different biomes. There was a could smaller ones sighted on small island jungles surrounded by water, thought the difference is they seem to work in packs and seem to have hostilities to other packs. There is also an eye witness account of a couple flying from island to island. The other sighting is a sole large one who is last seen dragging a huge carcass of some giant lizard or dinosaur through a desert into what seemed to be like a wormhole. All these findings amaze me and I hope that we will get a chance to learn more about them. As dangerous as they are... this is too exciting. Here are the other species we believe to be out there. As of now we are using the Lok-Hrah as the main base of these variations.
The head, especially the red and yellow part, reminds me of one of those big swamp flowers, nice lore too!
