My disappointing experience with the new patch - has the game become extremely easy?

Totally disagree. There's incentive to strip large areas of land now ingame, rather than just planet hopping and digging to a set depth. Now running a snake-trail of mines through a large area is alot more profitable, and in my opinion its made exploration more enjoyable.

 

Yep, I really like the technical aspect of gravel and fine sand. They would be much more balanced if ore spawning on sand/gravel was reduced by a percentage.
I do like the landfill mechanic.

Also, am I the only one who feels the 1-100 threat system was much more interesting? It just needed balancing (armor penetration was fine, it only had to be applied by a percentage and not an absolute value).

 

I disagree with you. Getting ores is way too easy at the moment!
I had a gold pickaxe after 20 minutes.

I prefer being forced to change planet to find ores instead of digging constantly on the same planet!
Maybe have ore percentages shown in the space travel UI? And have planets randomly have certain ore percentages?
(Example: planet A has 20% iron, 33% silver, 47% copper, planet B has...)

I've said somewhere I miss the penetration and the levels. Right now its just watered down for me, way to easy now even though there's still some people complaining about it being hard I honestly can't see how.

 

well they been releasing updates fast so i am guesing they gonna fix this any time soon ;p but let them rest bit so give 2-3days

They forgot to change the levels on a few items. For example, the iron bow is a tier 5 weapon, because they forgot to change that value from the 0-100 system to the 1-10 system.

Game is stupid levels of easy. Banking 3k pixels right now, died three times total. I have 300 bars of copper, 150 something bars of iron, 26 of silver, and I've visited two planets. Crafted weapons are terribly broken right now. This is also alpha sector.. something is indeed wrong with this picture. Also, I have a bitchin guitar. Dem glitches I keep running into are jealous of my bardic skills.

 

Before the patch I had an amazing assault rifle from a level 40 planet.

The best one I found on an Avian ship was coming in at 9 dps Best sniper rifle was 10, which given its reload rate I assume was much more acceptable overall.
