Most suggestions are at least a paragraph, and yours isn't isn't even a complete sentence. I suggest fleshing your idea out more.
Well that was almost a sentence. Not sure how practical they would be but as a flavour/role play item, sure.
There was a thread kinda like this that ended up with people just jumping in and talking about using them as weapons, and I think some should be used as weapons but a variety of instruments/jukeboxes/music players would be cool.
The idea needs fleshing out, elaborating. You can't expect support that easy when you have a line for each of your threads. Musical instruments are an okay idea, but as a weapon, they'd be even cooler.
I think getting a rare melee weapon thats actually a guitar would be fun. It could make noise when you hit stuff like in L4D2 but other than that I cant really imagine how it would be implemented. Using the item triggers a short audio clip would be one possibility but it would get boring quickly. I feel a mini-game to play music could have some interesting results.
Maybe Items that placed when interacted with can play songs, LIKE A JUKEBOX! Or Or Or Or Or Or Or... Normal items that does have musical effects when interacted.
As I said in the other thread "Think of Lotro/Mabinogi style of instrument playing. The instruments would just play a song based on a text document you have somewhere in the game files. and players would sync up performances with some sort of console command." I know this doesn't really add to the gameplay much but sometimes pointless yet fun things can really make a game better. Plus using them as a weapon would be pretty neat too.
Got feeling there will be option to switch backround music aka. Phonograph/gramophone player. About music intstruments ? Prehaps harp weapon that shoots notes as ammo while depleting energy (obviously eastern egg weapon). So yes, i would like musical instruments in those ways.
There could be some that double as weapons but I for one would prefer instruments just to play around with music.
I agree. Items that don't really have a point other than "To have fun" can be the icing on the cake in a sandbox game.
exactly what i was thinking, input notes output awesome but maybe easier to use because i didnt know how to do it in mabi
