I thought it would be cool to create musical tools to create wonderful sounds in star bound. Also you could create them into weapons. I was hopping that you guys would create some designs for this idea. Each race would have there own special instruments that were all strange to us humans.
I think instruments are already implemented to a degree, but there should be a large variety. As far as music goes, there needs to be a system for creating music (and possibly recording onto an in-game item, such as a CD) that's simple but complex enough to allow players to create or re-create a multitude of songs.
Why does this have so few views/replys/votes ?? The idea is awesome! In terraria the Harp was beast. And you could even upgrade it to the Magical Harp as a weapon. Love this idea! upvote!
Yeah but the mechanic behind the harp was pretty crap, and it didn't allow for much on the music side of things or even sound good.
Yeaaaah but whats fun in making just a single sound, if it had a way of making more notes, then it might be a...you know...actual instrument.
Who said anything about a single sound? This thread and plenty of other threads talk about instruments making multiple sounds and actual music.
Ha ha exactly no one did in "this" thread, I made a point not made, but I am glad the rest of the suggestion threads about instruments agree with more then just single notes. I still think you miss the practical use of a Action pump Trombone. you know...actual deadly instruments
I can imagine it now: The Sax-a-OWN rocket launcher. (for all those Unreal Tournament fans out there: how about the The Trombone Redeemer? )
