Whenever I play Starbound, no matter what I'm doing, I'm almost always carrying an instrument of some kind. Because of monsters and other hazards, however, I often have to switch away from my instrument to another tool. This stops the music, and that's a bit annoying for me especially if it's a long song. This is where my idea for the Music Recorder/Music Player comes in. Basically, you'd have an item to record the music you play with an instrument, and then you'd be able to choose the song you want to listen to on that item. Not only could you carry the item around like a normal instrument, but it'd be placeable, wearable, etc. Some more benefits to having an item like this: -You could record music sessions with your friends to play later by yourself or with other people -You could place the boomboxes in different places with certain songs set on loop. This would really add to the ambience of a place such as your ship (which is normally quiet). -The item could have a sort of playlist function where you could group songs that fit a certain mood together. This would allow you to, for example, have epic music playing on the sidelines of your pvp battles without someone standing on the sidelines playing. EDIT: I realize there have been a few other posts similar to this in the past, but a few functions I have mentioned were not stated in those threads as far as I could see.
