That was one of the saddest and most beautiful things I've ever seen. I smiled, and I cried. I'm glad I found this, thank you for posting this @Luna Moon
Ran across this one among my playlists from a old drive and listening to this on repeat for who knows how long while working on my PC. Reminded me of the NATO bombings and all the wars from back then around the same era this was released. Ironically the end of the world was announced for around 2000 and that was the very same era when the NATO bombings felt exactly like an apocalypse and a end of the world for one nation, Serbs. They nearly dropped a nuke thankfully that never happened. Quite a dark era for mankind. but then again wars never ended just shifted from one location to another. I remember the only access to this song was from one radio station and I taped it, back then barely anyone had internet, information was shared on radio and tv and the best stuff was always on underground stations.
Until Dictius Te Necare, Bethlehem faced censorship and was even banned from playing in some German cities. It started when Matton gave one copy of their first demo to a 14 year-old boy. After a while his mother started to call the band, saying that because of their music, her son become aggressive and built a "Satanic altar" in his room. In cooperation with other parents, they started a crusade against Bethlehem and their "satanic" music (ironically, Bethlehem were never satanic). Source: metal-archives.com
