As a music composer and Starbound fan, I would like to suggest a way to expand the use of music instruments: 1: It would be nice if they were place-able, decorative objects. I don't want to have to hide them all in my lockers, I want to display them in a sweet music room! The piano and a few hand drums is all I've ever been able to use, but imagine if the actual instruments could work this way! 2: Since we have the colony update, (and in conjunction with idea 1), what if the place-able instruments could spawn an NPC that would play it, so that you could "jam" with them (or at least, already existing NPC's would play it if placed in their room. I find myself hoping someday to conduct a concert of my own original orchestral music in-game. I know that it is possible on a server with friends, but I want to be able to do it on demand. I want a reason to build a concert hall. The ones I've built in the past are always empty and pointless. Sorry if these have been suggested already. I have read about some other suggestions like "using an instrument in a party will create a status aura" and things like that - which is a really cool idea too. I just think with all the trouble CF went through to bring playable instruments into the game, why not go all the way?
