Multiplayer is stupid broken

It's so easy to cheat you can modify your armor values to have trillions of health/armor. You can modify your base health/armor, you can even modify the lua file that applies damage so that you never take any damage what so ever.

You can shoot people who are not on pvp with explosive weapons, or you can just modify your weapon with Starcheat to enable universal damage and you can hurt anyone with any gun (unless you used the invincibility cheats described above).

You can dupe any item with a single click, you destroy planets with a single dig on your moded M.M that mines 2000 blocks at once. You can spawn millions of particles with your scripted items to make everyone lag to hell or just crash the server.

You can call any asset in the game as your item or particle effect, fill the screen of every player with cat heads, or with your own pants. You can directly spawn projectiles to kill players automatically with script and insta-kill everyone on screen automatically without human intervention.

You can build lava traps and make the entire planet protected and immune to change, you can cover the entire surface with spikes and make life a living nightmare for any unmoded player.

You can insta-spawn thousands of units of liquid and slow the server down to a craw. Or you can just insta-spawn a million units of lava and make the spawn planet unplayable all together.

And finally, you can give or spawn corrupted items to players and perma-corrupt their save file.

This game has no rules, everyone is a god everyone has way too much power.

Yea you can go to a server with protected spawn, where there is nothing to do but play instruments with random people.

Or you can go to one of those "roleplay" servers, after completing your Ph.D on creative writing first of course, and submit your thesis to moderator so they can give you a password to even begin playing. And then you can play a text game where all you do is type type type and talk about fantastical things like you're high on drugs.

I'm not against roleplay mind you, nor am I against rules, obviously. But here all we have are extremes. You can either do everything, or you can do nothing. You can be out of character, or you can roleplay hardcore like a 90s text based game.

 

I'm confused at the point of this post.
If it's about anti-griefing needing to be addressed, then it's a known issue that's been talked to death in much less arrogant ways.

 

Agreed multiplayer needs alot of work and in most cases it usually is fixed last.

 

I'd much rather have the focus on the main single player game. I don't usually play games on big servers (as long as it has something that I can play on with friends, no matter how crude, I'm happy with it).

I get that you're angry but try not to get so upset, the devs are constantly working on ways to improve things.
Think about it this way: Would you listen to the suggestions where someone throws your work into the dirt or a polite suggestion on what someone would like to see added?

 

@hakari - This is indeed a work in progress game. So that means there is room for change and improvement.

Feedback on General is good, but I really think more people should make use of the Suggestions sub-forum, and offer solutions to their problems they experience. It doesn't hurt to give that a try, seeing there are lots of like-minded people there
