Multiplayer Communities for 1.0?

I have around 400 hours played in the Early Access versions of this game. The only versions I haven't played through are the most recent (Beta 0.8), which is not to say that I'm bored, but that I think I have a pretty good feel for the game (understatement) and I'm looking to expand my playing experience.

Does anyone know of any solid multiplayer communities that are accepting new members prior to 1.0? I'm looking for a chill place to play with people that enjoy exploring the Starbound universe.

 

Oh I would be interested to,prefer one that is troll free.. so I won't spawn on planets and land in lava.

Most of the servers I try to play on make their home planet special and can't be mined on. The server I once play on called ilovebacon used to work like normal single player starbound (players have randomize starter planets and systems) but last time I try to play it they also had the special snowflake home planet that make starting a new character on it impossible.

I would personally love to know a server which is unmodded and non-special snowflake enough to be playable from start to finish. Hard to find one as all 24/7 servers seem to think adding something annoying should be required as part of the "fame". The only decent servers I could find were roleplaying servers and of course they come with their own cons. You can't exactly talk about your favorite video game on global chat at random on such a server without upsetting a lot of people. At this point I wouldn't mind if I had to sign up on a random forum just to play on such a server, it seem like a 24/7 server simply can't be the game but multiplayer anyway without some kind of gimmick. At this point I'm even willing to join a furry server even though I'm not one myself as long say furries are kind people otherwise.

 

hmm...maybe i'll just stick to single player and posting SS's on the forums...

 

lol don't let me discouraged you. I'm very picky and as stated dislike modding on multiplayer servers. Depends on what exactly what you want.

I also once met that server. You need at least a FTL Drive to play on such a server.

When i visited, you were spawned in a caribic town with bars n stuff, with no way to progress.
