Moving Parts... Possible?

I have not see it yet but I wonder: Its possible to build moving objects like elevators?

I ask that because we already have skyrails that more or less can fill the role of elevators, but that is not the same thing.

 

Elevators have been mentioned as planned content and hopefully they will work like that (they havent realy released any details on how they would work).

 

There doesn't seem to be any provision in the code for that at this time.

 

What? Last I heard, elevators were ruled out.

Off course that should be consider "planned", not a promise.

Oh neat! I saw a post several months ago that said elevators would be extremely difficult for them to code, it looks like they changed their mind and decided to create them anyways.

 

Would be really cool for building your own robots and such. Maybe there could be programmable blocks?

 

They canned climbing, which was a real let down. I really hope they don't can more quality of life things. Elevators would be exceptionally great.

I suggested elevators once and the response was as @Jerln metioned, really glad they changed their minds.

All I wanted to do was make a wide elevator to lift mechs from my underground base to the surface. (With the red alarm lights and yellow and black warning stripes)

Do note that they havent said how the elevators would work. It may be simply something you enter that travel upwards or downwards then you exit, instead of a real platform elevator.

 

That alone would be neat.

And I know the reference Namiwakiru is making... typical japanese mecha scene
