[Mount-ish] Hyper Pogo Stick

Pogo Sticks.
Everyone loves them.
One problem?
They can't be used to crush rare alien species to death.
Thats where this comes in!
I don't have any stats available, as I don't know how much damage would be balanced in this game.
It would pretty much be a pogo stick that damages anything caught under it, it would jump fairly high and go about half as far horizontally.
It would do medium damage, so its not a reliable weapon/mount but could be used to deal with those pesky planet difficulty 1-5 enemys, while still travelling in a moderately fashionable style.
It would have about half a second between bounces.
Rough mock-up sprite:

Notice the handlebars, spring, and giant stomping mech-foot.
It MAY leave small craters, wether they be physical alterations or temporary crater-graphics.

 

the amount of fun you can have in games like this is endless.

 

So, I take that as a yes, you would like to crush your opponents with a mechanical pogo stick?

I think it's a great idea. I wonder how they'd balance it out with low gravity planets though?

 

Thats the thing! The stomping claw is (Mabye) able to adjust its downwards force to maintain constant speed.
Or not.

 

It is a sci-fi type game, anything would work honestly. Maybe the pogo stick has an artificial gravity device of some sort to keep it from jumping too high?

I would love to jump around on a mechanical futuristic pogo stick.

 

This could be fun. If the thing can crush mobs it should probably be able to leave small craters, I can imagine how much fun it would be pock marking my world with little craters.
