Most popular race

Most of the people I've talked to in public who play the game tend to go with either the Glitch, Floran, or Avian. Haven't heard much about the other races around here.

 

i like humans

 

I've always felt the Glitch are the most popular, as they're the least like the others. I suspect Novakids will be popular upon their release for similar reasons. That said, personally, I've come to enjoy the Hylotl's equipment aesthetic.

 

I love the Hylotl. They are my absolute favourite. Avians follow up second.

Apex are my least favourite just because i think they are fugly looking humans and i have personal hatred for Florians because of their backstory... but otherwise they're pretty cool. Glitch are so-so. Humans are humans.

 

Humans need more love.

 

Florans for me.

Tried Avian first but them lookig stupid in many armor kinda ruined it for me. Also yay for stabbing things. WIth bullets.

Apex are gross, anti-spiral scum.

(Yeah yeah I know, "This is about what you think is most popular, not your favorite." I read it. Though admittedly, I actually didn't think humans would be at least second.)

 

I love birds soooo... Avians

 

It depends on how it's depicted, and in this case I have to say the Apex definitely qualify as furries.

And if Avians qualify then Hylotl do also.

 

Apex are my favorite, but given that my own preference has nothing to do with the poll, I voted for florans. Blasted plants...

 

Hm... I can agree with that, But now the biggest concern is what would you call an Amphibian... Mammal is Furry, Bird is Feathery, Lizard is Scalie.. Amphibian is... -Serious thinking-

 

Probaly florans, cause of "that butt shoving against eachother thing" on the forums. Oh and they are plants, which is very unique.
I mean most games and movies have:

Clishee stereotypic grey aliens with giant heads (XCOM, 50% of most movies)
Cephalopodic Aliens (Ceph from crysis)
Some group of aliens forming an alliance against humanity (Halo)
Humans which adapted onto a new envirement (Killzone)
Chicks in blue (Mass Effect)
Evil AI (Mass Effect, X-Series)
Insects (X-Series (Those aliens flying in purple geometrical spaceships))
Fish-Like Creatures (Abyss)
More Cephalopodic Aliens with tripods and heatrays (War of the Worlds from 2005)
Clowns (Some odd B-Movie)
Disgusting Facehugging Hybrites (Alien vs Predator and so on)
Predators (Predator)
Aliens which got changed in concept about roughly 5 times before game release, turning them from black blobs into living nanites into nanites forming up humanoid creatures turning them into organic life being replaced by Xcom Aliens (The Bureau XCOM declassified)
You (The Mirror: A scary face I see when watching in it, The Mirror 2: Theres some ugly person when I watch the mirror, and so on)
Formless bodychanging lifeforms (The Thing from that movie)
More biomass/blobs (The Blob)

List could go on.

So yeah florans are kinda unique, there are a few plant aliens in a very few movies, but they are not as common as those we usually have in movies. They are unique to the other somewhat frightening (clowns) and strange looking aliens (The Thing and You) and just evil (Ceph) we have.

Florans are savage but they dont look like that, therefor they are unique and probaly one of the reasons people like them. And I must admit they are cute.

 

Generally, Florans don't fool me... because when I think of 'Plant Alien' I think of this guy. And we all should know how it turned out.

 

Don't even get me started on the rule 34 of the game.

Florans, really? Why?

 

The one I see most people playing is Human, it is the most popular that people play as but I might be wrong, I keep seeing humans everywhere

I've seen more florans on the forums and the multiplayer servers than any other race. I've seen less humans than any other race. Also Novakids probably shouldn't be on the poll since they aren't in the game so nobody can play as them. I mean the poll opinions will mostly be based on how many of each race you've seen so obviously Novakid popularity can't be gauged accurately yet.
