Morphball! The best. Tech. EVER. (Until it's fixed.)

I've already posted this in the bugs forum, so I figure I'd let everyone else enjoy the nonsense until it's fixed.

Think it takes too long to reach asteroids? Perhaps you haven't tried the amazing powers of Morphball.


Planet taking too long to traverse? You simply haven't used the mind-blowing speed of the Morphball.


Few things to note while you're blasting around, if you want to stop; Jump! This is the only way to tell Morphball that it should follow the rules of gravity. Also, gravity hurts. You may die while using the intense power of Morphball.

I honestly hope they don't fix it, but instead just make the morphball super rare compared to the other techs.

Oh goodness, I agree! Posting erroneous and likely buggy behavior to bring to the devs attention? For shame, OP, for shame.

Now then, I'm going to have to do this while Cake's "The Distance" plays in the background.

Me either. The devs made it do that, And it should stay that way.

Please please atleast leave a more controlled version of this in. Just reduce the speed you fly off at or include a trajectory to the flight.

I agree it is, but just wait for "OMG this isnt realistic/hardcore/balanced" crowd to sway the devs to nerf the Monster Poop out of it.

As far as trajectory and speed go, you can really make Morphball do whatever you want with this. If you morph at low speed, ball will stay at low speed. And you can control it horizontally while you fly around. (Just can't go up and down, cause Morphball HATES gravity.)

What I'd REALLY love is damage on impact. I'd Cannonball every prison on every planet. Craters everywhere.

Try the coordinates thread, they have tons of posts that say where you can find the Tech. Grapple is made at the craft station.

Sadly, I haven't found any ways to further break this with two grappling hooks. :< The best I've managed so far is an easier to control slow-moving hover ball.

 

just takes 1 mod and itll be back bug or no bug =P
