More Uses for Music

Right now, music is pretty cool how you can add your own, play in a band, etc.
However, I personally believe that there should be more uses for them and more music based items.

I think it would be a great addition if you could play a certain instrument next to an NPC, for example lets use a drum on a Floran, as the drum is a primitive percussion instrument the Floran begins dancing and becomes happy, if used on a guard, perhaps the guard would be more tolerable to weapons inside the city.

I also would like to see a Walkman/MP3 item where you insert MP3/MP4 files in to a folder in your Starbound directory and the item would play them back flawlessly, there would also be a speaker item that allows you to project that music out loud, but to prevent spamming and annoying uses you can mute different people from using that item in a menu or just mute the MP3s/Walkmans all together.

Also, thought I'd add, if you are within hearing range of any musical items you should begin bobbing your head and in some instances dancing.

The instruments idea is cool. About the MP3, we can't just lower the Starbound volume while listening anything else? (It's what I do in any game when the soundtrack is awful and/or repetitive.)

Without speakers it's pretty much just an accessible playlist from in-game, with speakers, obviously everyone else can hear it.

You can simple play in the settlements for pixels.

Or, instead of having preset music and adding them in via game files, you could find melodies in chests, etc.
And in towns villagers would say something like, "I wish I could hear ___ again..." and if you play that melody they would pay you in items/pixels.

And if they do not like the music, they will send you to the ship. With the help of the forks and axes. :)
