I finally got the assets unpacked after a ton of times but, one I did I went to a sword to mod and found different heads and bottoms any help?[DOUBLEPOST=1436848182][/DOUBLEPOST]It's directory is:

The frames are the same size. It mixes each component together to a single frame. So essentially all the components must overlap and be the same frame size.

It is really straight forward, but ifs still going over the top stick to the pregenerated stuff which are found in each species folder
    Code:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\unpacked\items\swords\human\broadsword

If you look at the "kind" in the randomly generated file.
It is associated with the exact same name folder

Inside each folder contain 2 more folders generally the blade and handle.
It randomly chooses 1 blade and 1 handle from each folder.

Since the frame size is same for both, it can super impose the two images ontop of one another in the game to create a single weapon.

Is there a code to do that at all?

I think the best option here is to say what exactly you want to do.
Since it seems at this point - any further explanation won't help.

Like Swat said, you will need to give us a better idea of what you are trying to do before we can help you. If you are just trying to create a new sword, Swat already provided you the filepath to one that you can tinker around with.
