With the large variety of unique monsters, critters and procedurally generated monsters I still somehow feel biomes can be a little empty of a vastly diverse creatures Like birds and fish are really cool but imagine the potential of flying whale like creatures on low gravity planets or bioluminescent octopi on planets similar to Europa or Titan heck idek maybe bioluminescent flying whales Just some new types of randomly generated creatures would be amazing I guess (I'm aware of some huge bipedal mini boss type creature that's going to be in a future update but aside from that I don't know what developers have planned)
If you've been paying attention to the dev blog posts, you might have noticed that A, they are adding a bunch of interesting new biomes (possibly including city "biomes"), B, they are adding multi-biome planets, and C, passive monsters.
I am well aware of this but I was focusing more on new types of monsters truth be told there's likely to be new unique monsters in these new biomes
If they do nothing else, they should ease up on the "unique" monsters and make them special encounters rather than generic enemies that overshadow the randomly generated ones. I really don't want to see the same Poptop on every single lush planet.
It'd be really interesting if there was some specific upper atmosphere biomes with some floating islands and large flying organisms which can "swim" through air due to the less gravity up there
