Some ideas that might be helpful The end products from oilmaker can lead to unique oil or to the existing one(for a quick solution), same goes with wine and beer(bananas can't be made into juice or wine they are fermented into beer). Also if you are going to add oilmaker end products you also could create one for the coconut.
This is for Igorious machines mod. He's learned how to override machine vanilla inputs and create variant inputs and even colored outposts if those are wine, juices, jam and pickles. He's busy with university, so when he comes back, next stage will be that. Cocoa, olives, peanuts, etc, all can be used to produce oils and then those oils will need a churning machine to make some of the into butter, which can then be used on various recipes.
Seems like the config.json in downloadable MCM version is still messed up. Not only it has the syntax error, but for some weird reason all saplings and pineapple are moved to winter. All version of config.json provided before on page 19,22,23 have only syntax mistake corrected. Why there are trees that bear fruit in winter(Fig, pear, persimmon)? At least the description says they do. I changed config,json and put pineaplle into spring and all sapplings to all seasons - everything seems to be working. Is there a reason why it has not been done before(maybe I'm missing something)?
Cotton input into Loom, could be an alternate way of making Cloth, although it would require more Cotton units per unit of cloth to keep it balanced.
Ooh, that's interesting. I was actually thinking peanut butter could be a cooking recipe (peanuts+oil.) And maybe from there a peanut butter sandwich (PB+jelly+bread) Alright. Wasn't sure whether it would be better to take that here or to Igorious. Thanks very much.

Would it be possible to create flowering cacti that you can take the fruit off of like trees? I'm creating a small valley in the desert that grows crops all year and would love to have some more desert themed produce to plant there.
Yes, but if I you wanted it to grow like a tree, instead of a crop, the cacti would have to be roughly the size of a tree, because where the fruits appear when growing on a tree are hard-coded into the game.
That's actually not bad Superior. The Saguaro cactus grows up to 40ft/12m and it's fruit bearing. It even gets pollinated by fruit bats, so I could see something like it fitting into the game.
There is no isolated sprite sheet, that part of the mod is achieved by overriding vanilla's with all the additions. What you have is the game's Content\Tilesheets\crops.xnb i've extracted it below using XNBNode, check it out.
I want to try this, but the new patch is coming soon. Are you going to update this when 1.1 hits by removing the crops it adds? Also, is this compatible with Igorious' New Machines mod?
I can try to do this, canpromise anything. Because maybe I have to change the classifications of all the crops to meals and stuff, but will try adding this, its a great idea!! The seeds aren't showing up in Pierre's shop, but I can see them in the collections screen. I have the latest SMAPI version and the only other mod that I'm using with it is New Machines, which is working just fine. Edit: I tried re-downloading it and it still doesn't work. I'm using MCM. EDIT 2: OKAY I forgot that I do indeed have some other mods that are interfering or might not be compatible with this/each other. Could someone who actually knows what they're doing help me figure out which ones don't work together? The game crashes at 6:10 for me when I use MCM or EMCM. SMAPI tells me that the Pierre store JSON is not valid.
