I use unstable =x should've said sorry - I just updated but I don't seem to have any directional attacks? kinda confused O-o
I think spears could just have it so they don't have a wide as of an attack arc as some of the other weapons. Maybe 30 degrees or 45 degrees in front. Or whatever you devs think. Just a thought.
I don't know if this was mentioned by someone else but for spears you could have a secondary attack that is a swing and it does more knockback with less damage the closer the monster is to the player and less knockback with more damage the farther away the enemy is since spears are just small sharp blades at the end of a stick
Hmm yeah I just found a new dagger and its still not working - is it working for you/anybody else? edit: okay i got a spear dropped from a boss mob and ITS working O-o strange
See I always find guns and they always end up being fairly practical, I just don't use them. The first drop I got on a starter planet was a pistol that kinda crapped on any weapons I could craft or find at that stage. I just throw it in my other hand so I have some protection while using the torch and other one handed tools. I know they need work, just my experiences
i think gauntlet more fit for people that want fight enemy with martial fist thing ,for the staff make them unable to craft like gun but buy it from the glitch wizard maybe , and add 1H spear that the secondary attack can be trowable and another one with 2H that using the swing thing or charge like the lance use by mounted horse glitch if we can ride our monster someday ,offtopic the legend of mana give me nostalgia i like the background grass and plant that have some kind like movement like it have some breeze of wind i saw in video starbound have that motion for tree but it just happen when rain or other weather i think it make it feel the tree is a life will it posible to add it in without any weather just to make it feel like the plant is life being in background and have kind like theres small wind around but when rain the tree have more faster shake and hopefully if it added wont make people feel dizzy when moving around
Late to reply, but this post caught my eye. Some "electric"m or so I would instead call "mecha" two handed weapons have two elements on them. Probably so. Late to reply, but the gauntlets should be two handed, as it comes in a pair. Using one gauntlet would have such weak power, you need the combined power. I come to the realization that they should be one handed for sure! I'd love to use sword/gun + psychic power together, though just not as strong as it would normally be. Basically, have the option to duel wield Psi-Gauntlets. Dual wielding gives you the maximum effect, but only using one gives half. You're winning the game.
im on unstable and with the latest patch imnoticing the smelter isnt updating the numbers on ore and bars produced, it is smelting the ore but its not showing it. edit: slight update this goes for refining and cooking and anything that works in a similar fasion it seems.
Same here. And this small 3-5 second lags are also present in local MP and SP which makes combat a little bit strange especially when you got attacked with projectiles.
I have an idea for a secondary attack for spear, but it's prolly been suggested already Maybe have the spear spin on the center of the player as a secondary attack? Have it like the hammer, with less damage and higher knockback, but it would also be very limited with range. Ooh, and have it deflect projectiles, too, making it more of a defensive weapon. Of course, I don't expect the deflecting thing because coding and balance, but how awesome would it be to spin a spear around anyway?
Have gun damage numbers been tweaked to be more useful compared to crafted weapons? My BEST gun, an avian blaster, far outclasses any other kind of weapon I've found, and still barely reaches 1/2 the DPS of my main crafted weapon (the 2h racial hammer), and isn't quite at the DPS of my legendary Star Sword [something which I also think should be buffed somehwat, given it's "Legendary" status, and even with 100% accuracy the blaster still takes more than my energy bar to kill true NPC's, and slightly less for monsters. (it's roughly 11 DPE)
