Closed Monsters now open doors?!

    It scared the crap out of me. I was on low very low health, running back to my house but there was one last monster in my way. I managed to jump over him. He prepared to charge, I opened the door, closed it and got to my bed. Meanwhile he charged the door, banged on it and started seeing stars (funny).
    When he recovered, he opened the god damn door! At that point I sh*t myself.
    I was able to dodge him again closing the door behind me, leaving him inside. He opened the door again and I ran for my life, lol

    Since when did they acquire brain power to open doors? I understand smashing them down but actually opening them? That's a weird update. No more safety in homes

    If it's safety you want, you can use things like buttons or consoles to open/close your doors once you get the Wiring Tool.

    Of course but what can you do until then? Build a giant pit at your doorstep?
    New players will get an unpleasant surprise because of this.

    Do what people do in minecraft on the first night; dig a hole in the ground and weep it in, hoping the monsters go away and you survive til sunrise ;)

    The difference is that when in starbound spawn night monsters they will last until death or despawn. Being in a hole could be the wrong idea because when they see you and you can't escape when digging out you are definetly dead. We all know that the night monsters are dealing much more damage than the day ones. ^.^

    Why not place some dirt at the door when you try to hide? ;) It's also a bit adventurous to feel safe behind only one door.
