What are you 12, you have completely taken what ive said out of context and tried (and failed) to twist it around to make it look as bad as it can be, im not sure if your ignorance is on purpose, or just natural.

At which point in which post was i "pushing the whole community to do what i want" exactly? You seem to know whats going on so well, you should be able to point us to what made you come to that conclusion, feel free to post it.

The original post was my feelings on the current monster art style, asking if anyone feels the same, and the posts after have been explaining my point of view and then asking for a balance, a happy medium, instead of one extreme end only for the art style, then recognition of some good feedback, admitting this could possibly just be the lower tier monsters or some other explanation a few people have nicely provided.

That paragraph has been the most childish thing i have read in this whole thread, ironically enough, and you've single handedly now degenerated this thread all by yourself and your ignorance, "if you read the thread, is him whos triying to push a whole community to do what he wants because he wants, and we stand our ground" Why is the current art style perfectly suited to little kids like this, little ignorant brats who think they understand anything enough to type up a response and apparently type anything that comes to their mind, wether its accurate in the slightest or not?

But of course it doesnt mean the whole age group has to suffer because of this one person, my apologies.

If there is no more ignorant, non-sensical child input, id still like to hear from people and their opinions, back on topic, if anyone else is as interested as i am in the current art direction, thanks.

 

That would do no good. Having a "hardcore extreme" or "realistic" art direction for most monsters might even attract more of these kids because they think that playing something they're not "supposed to be" is "rebellious" and "cool", at least, that's how I thought when I was that young, and I'm sure that the huge infestation of children in CoD will attest to feeling the same (of course after playing the bloodiest games around I became almost completely blase to it and lost interest, mostly).

It's totally understandable that he calls you a kid for saying these monsters are "gay", too. If you want to conform to the stereotype of age groups acting in certain ways or liking certain things (which is kind of a big theme in this thread) then you have to understand that many often associate the word "gay", when used in such a way that it means "bad" or "wimpy", with these aforementioned "hardcore little kids" who think using swear words makes them badasses.

 

gay isnt a swear word, nor badass, i could think of plenty of stronger or more awesome sounding terms, but not being a child i wasnt interested in that, instead chose the first thing off the top of my head.

After explaining the same thing in multiple posts (about wanting a balance/medium, not saying i want the other extreme instead, complete mature, doom and gloom, blood etc) because all people could seem to come up with against this, was making it look like i wanted the other extreme, the first word off the top of my head may not have been the best nor prettiest nor most diplomatic choice lol.

And by multiple posts i mean, i even kept count for a bit there, got up to the fith time repeating that just because i didnt like this extreme end of bright coloured goofy grinned pokemon, did not mean i wanted the other extreme end, that surely theres a balance there, a happy medium for everyone.

But coincidentally thats all the fans of the current art style (mostly the children that its aimed at probably) could say back in defense, that its just as bad going the other extreme and trying to be smart and trying to down play what i had to say, even though oddly enough, what they tried to downplay and make fun of i never suggested at all.

There wasnt one other real argument they could provide, all they could say was the other end is just as bad, again even though i never suggested that in the first place, probably because for some they cant grasp simple concepts nor posts, others, they just dont have any other valid reason to argue with my ideas instead, weird.....

Guess its easier to put words in someones mouth that are easy to argue against, then to try find a problem with something someone is actually saying, but thats probably because there is no problem with what im actually saying.....

(wanting some sort of balance, not opposite extreme end to suit me personally, probably for like the 17th time which will probably go over most peoples heads who are fine with the current art style, for the 17th time, fancy that lol)

I would just like to add that you're acting far too close-minded about this. Want to see something truly intended for young audiences? Go watch Yo Gabba Gabba. Just because the monsters don't look menacing, doesn't make them childish. Also, I'm admittedly getting a bit annoyed at your bias towards Pokemon. Think they're just childish? What are you on about?
Wind waker has some of the weakest gameplay in the entire series, what makes it good is the sheer ammount of charcter and charm the game has.

 

The dark and moody people will replace the PO with a soul eating sludge monster that one hit kills you and robs you of your Starbound account... and probably have laser themed miniguns attached to each limb or something.

Seriously though, this kind of topic is uneasy for some people because they want immersion over all things, and find it difficult to be immersed unless every single thing is perfect, nothing wrong with that at all, immersion can be fun, but sometimes it takes a little thing called imagination too, that is what makes it so special, i feel.

(Edit: also, immersion is different for everyone, it's not possible for every single person to be happy with their surroundings because each person has their own idea of what immersion is... it's kind of reliant on imagination in this case actually)

 

My word. You miss my point entirely. I was saying that if you want to act like certain things can be "childish" or "grown-up" due to shallow reasons such as the way they look, say that childish is something you don't want, then you use "gay" as an insult... Know where I'm going with this, aye?

You can't say I'm one of "them", either, I've made a point about most of the monsters in this game looking too silly, too.

On Topic: I am 21 years old and I have no problem what so ever with the monsters, I think it's awesome that there will be randomly generated monsters = possible infinite ammount of them when more monster parts will be added to the game either via official updates or mods. And the colourong? Well whatever, it's not going to bother me, not even bright ping monsters (No, I am not MLP fan).

 

I think you dont know who you are nor what you have rights to on the forums.
First, i have already proven my points several times in earlier post, and now i was merely making a remark about your behavior, who everyone, not just me has warned you about. If you do not change it soon, i dont think you will have a long life on the forums, nor in any server you may ever play.
Then, i dont care about opinions, everyone has one and all are equally right. What you suggest though, is a full game artistic change. As i mentioned, im pretty sure that wont happen unless the devs theirselves decide that they want it to happen, and thus i said you should search a texture pack, just like you think a way, there will be other people that do so, and chances are atleast one person will be able to texture it.

And finally, making long posts with some long words doesnt make you more mature at all. The essence of your post still is: *This dude is a 10 years old because hes warning me about my behavior*.
Granted, i may have used the wrong words, or maybe not, but my point is still valid: You arent behaving correctly. You made a thread for a reason, giving your opinion. So other people gave theirs. You begin attempting to counter them, using statements that only apply to yourself. Later, when you see that doesnt work, you begin directly attacking them, and finally try to ´´recognise`` that they have made correct statemenents/facts, but still asking for the same thing over and over.

When a person warns you about your behavior, overall a notable member of the community, you decide that instead of thinking about it and triying to see if your behavior was truly uncorrect, and how to fix it if so, you blame me for everything thats wrong on this thread.

If thats not a childish conduct, i dont understand why other people apart of me is also telling you about it. Or are you gonna call them 10 years old too? I mean, you just said you choosed the first word out of your head, and apparently that word was ´´gay``. In what sense is that not childish and offensive?

This thread isnt going anywhere, all the discussion that could be done about it has been done. I suggest we let it die, as so far its only causing more trouble.

Actually, atleast six monster per planet will be peaceful.

There are six monsters during day, and another six different during night, plus another three for each underground layer.
Three of those day monsters, and three of those night monsters will be peaceful/neutral.
