I don't know about you, but if I am having difficulties with enemies I trap them in dirt and prod through to kill them, bosses included. If there can be a rule for placing objects a certain distance from the monster so it puts more of a challenge on the player Or Have the monster be able to destroy user placed blocks Or Have the monster have certain attacks to hit the player through the dirt up to a certain range. Thoughts, feelings, concerns?
Really when it comes to this I see it something that's just about if the player feels like cheesing the game or not. This is something I won't do mostly since it takes away a lot of the victory from killing a boss if you just ended up stabbing him through a wall.
Trapping the monster still takes some of the challenge out. I completely agree that hitting through walls should be fixed. You cut one block out, and attack that way. The monster just sits there, while you toss arrows in the little hole. Yes, it's at the player's discretion how to play the game, but it shouldn't be with cheap tactics bc it does take the joy out of it.
A cheap tactic is still a tactic, I'm not arguing that something like this shouldn't happen, but I just do see it has being a huge issue. If someone wants to take a lot of the challenge that the game loses a lot of reason to even play in the first place, that's his business. Now on something like a server I would competently agree that this would need to be fixed, its here other people could get gimped by someone with high level gear who just joined the server.
While I agree with you, right now I lag extremely bad in some areas and this is the only way I can survive. Hopefully it gets fixed in the future.. but right now it's more of a necessity than anything.
