Obviously yes - there are huge loads of monsters that can combine all togheter ^^

Is the example : " classic " lizard, that powah up with some armor, then you meet the " final evolution " for this kind of generated Mob with the Spear and other stuff he wears to be more badass !

 

There can be both, I thinked about that, it will look interesting

 

I'm wondering if there's a touch of random to evolution, like do the legs on the left image always become the ones shown on the right one?

These was the mounts, thinking about it we never get any new update on those mounts.

 

Nope, those are still examples of dynamic Mobs and what can spawn from those mixes... Not mounts... A secured " mount " is the Jetbike and the sci-fi skateboard like in Back to the Future

In Starbound there will be many NPCs. Something unique about some of these NPCs is that they have many different dynamic appearances so they will rarely look the same twice. Lets take a look at my penguin as an example.



Penguins can be found throughout the galaxy. They can be of different species, have different modifications and be different colors. Some might be rarer than others. Others might give you special rewards. The combinations are quite numerous.



These are just a few of the possible combinations. Enjoy!

I agree that the pics look more like a creature growing up rather than evolving. But, that's not really a negative thing. Perhaps the plan is for us to capture creatures while they're young and raise them ourselves. I'd really like that. I get the impression that not only will we have options for crops, but raising livestock. Perhaps it's not just livestock we'll be raising, if you take my meaning.

Can't say for sure until the game is out, but it does make sense.

I know but i'm looking for a tweet from Tiy that he says that those monsters are mounts....



There was even a topic about it. after Tiy said that, the girl/guy that made the official wallpaper made this one based on this mount.

 

I've always had a feeling that the creature system would end up going that route.

 

This is some great stuff.
If you can give some monsters gear...
Its time to amass an army, an army of tamed monsters that are bred to be the best!
