Monster Contest Submisson: SheildSpore: Half Organic; Half Machine

    Here is my idea, SHEILDSPORE. SheildSpore is the result of Swamp fungus fusing with the remains of some tools used by an unlucky explorer. Found in the ground, looking like a normal mushroom, but when approached, it launches out of the ground, and chases you. SheildSpore are somewhat rare, and have different colors for their sheilds and lazers. The Sheild and Lazer colors do not have to match. When encountered, they look like a mushroom without a stem, and will glow, like all other mushrooms in the area. When approached, it will shoot itself out of the ground, and be closed. When it is closed, it cannot be damaged. It can only be closed for 2sec at a time. When opened, you must shoot its weak spots, Behind its sheilds, are its bottom lazer. It shoots lazers every 8sec, after it shoots, it charges for 4sec. It is weaker when it is charging. After charging 5 times, it will close again, then restart the cycle.

    Threat Levels:
    Lv1: Above
    Lv2: Will shoot lazers from beneith itself at a faster rate
    Lv3: Learns to shoot from sheilds at a faster rate
    Lv4: All above faster fire rate
    Lv5: Closes for 5sec instead of 2
    Lv6: Will drop metal on nearby mushrooms to have a 50% chance of spawning a SheildSpore
    Rarity:Uncommon
    Trainable: Yes; Color #4 is created in a lab
    Uses: Can be farmed for Glowing Mushrooms I guess. Trained ones will produce spores to make more mushroooms.
    Color Differences: All Colors will be able to inflict Poision Damage
    Red: Can cause fire Damage
    Blue: Can casue water Damage (Can also put out fires, to an advantage or disadvnantage)
    Green: x2 Poision Damage
    Yellow: Causes Electrical Damage. Can Paralize (5sec) any mechinical monster, Stun(2sec) any organic.
    Drops:Crimson Sheild 1%/Glowing Mushroom Spores 90%/Scrap Metal 9%

    I think a mechanical mushroom that wants to kill you would be cool, it would definitely fit in with the swamp wallpaper of the week.:) The sprites are good.

    Thanks, I tried to get the colors to match the previous swamp wallpaper, It took a bit of challenge to get the style right, but im sure Tiy or anyone else should have no problem.

    Simplicity is not always a bad thing, look where it got Minecraft and Terraria.

    Now that I think of it, it might seem strange for it to have no opening animation, it opens very quickly, too fast to be seen with the human (or whatever you are) eye.
