MODs you wish you could make— post here!

Once the game would come out I hypothetically would create a mod that when you fall and your death will be fatal, it'll play music and turn down the rest of the sound.

Also this thread is to give modders ideas in a way, not that our ideas involving bacon and what not even make sense.

I would probably add the experimental songs into the game, they're amazing and deserve their place in the game

 

Clothes from anime. Mainly coat draped on shoulders, which resembles a cloak. Or straw hat. Zanpakutou from bleach as a weapon. OMG so many options :O

 

I'm seeing some Cowboy Beepob love and this is amking me happy.
On subject, probably my idea, of course, but also a bunch of clothing and some of those interesting race ideas. (Parfelian and Gemmétoile to name two.)
Conversion mod for special server might be cool too. I could see a mod to make a server Cowboy Beepob based, for RP this would be awesome. Lot's of horror survival idea have been proposed already too.
Or maybe in short I could just say ; "Make all the mods!!!"

I think Starbound would be a great base for some MOBA game. One where you don't have predefined characters, but build one by buying equipment with some starting funds and then advance through the items like usually. And when someone wants to say it wouldn't work in 2D sidescrolling manner, just go and look at Awesimenauts.

I would just hope people will mod and put infinitely more style planets and monsters and npcs and bosses.

There are a bunch of suggestion on this forum already that I would use for a pretty good horror survival game mode.
What I would really like to see tough is an community effeort to cross compare the different mods for compatibility. If there could be a comprehensive check list of things a mod can alter, it could be refered to in order to make a list for each mod and thus being able to tell what is compatible with what at first glance.

Something I'd really be interested in would be mini quest mods, which would play with an old sidescroller feel to them on a single planet. It'd be like its own little game inside Starbound.

Well, i don't know if this is already a feature or not, but I would like to mod in Villages of ht eofficial races, or of mixed races to be randomly generated. The townsfolk will all start friendly to you, but if you steal or destroy a certain amount of property, the town police will go after you!
