Mods you DON'T wanna see

See, that's where you're wrong. Most people hate certain things, regardless of whether or not they are popular. Some people hate one popular thing, but follow another. It all depends on the person.

Given the fact that Starbound is a sandbox game/furniture theftsimulator/, I'd only be concerned about a mod I wouldn't to see existing if it actually was added in the finished game(and "a mod I wouldn't want to see existing" isn't quite appropriate)... Which let's hope very hard, wouldn't happen in this realm and timeline.

If it changes the released game for the best with an emphasis on aesthetical, creative content or even fitting gameplay, then heck yes.
Other than that, mods. They're free to add to your game, and moreso free to not add to your game. It's a win win situation since you don't even loose time downloading it.

Saying you'd hate to see, say, a MLP mod created (which already exists, and several of them, eh) for the sake of it being MLP related is like saying you hate ducks because they quack. Maybe it's not a good reason enough.
The fact that it isn't lore friendly is obviously a better reason in my opinion, but I hardly see how any race mod could be lore friendly except for the Novakids one anyway. But it's just a different look, not a gameplay abomination.
In any case, it won't let me stay awake at night, unable to find slumber knowing that some people play as space racoons or have portable greenhouses.

If some people don't to do anything to get things done, or have different tastes, go for it. MODS!

Ho, and 'bout nudity mods: As far as I remember, every race is literally nude if they don't have clothes on, or when they sleep. The exception being humans with their hundies.
There goes your nude mod no want. It's 87% already in.

If someone wants to mod it so that it's nothing but MLP stuff then they can do it.

The ONLY thing I don't want to see is mods that implement illegal or obnoxious things like random loud noises, strobe light effects, anything pornographic,etc.
Besides that people are free to mod whatever they want.

[Edit] Another thing to consider is that just because a mod is made for something you dislike, due to your tastes or interests, it won't affect you as long as you don't use it or unless everyone and their grandma uses it on their servers.

If you're going to allow an MLP mod, then you definitely need a My Little Glue Factory mod.

 

I like playing games without mods unless the modes are like "a new game" or fixes bugs or things like that. So when people drop the "use mods" when someone brings up a legit concern I get annoyed.

 

Religious proselytizing mods (t goes for politics too, unless its space politics, and space religion, just no RL nonsense.)

Mods on dangly parts

Nyancat mods (might be too late on that)

And of course, mods of earth, not yet, I'm sure we'll get there eventually.

After thinking again I come to the same conclusion like before:

I never want to see any Starbound R34 related stuff, I mean why do we have a mind to immagine these things... I mean thats just nasty stuff... except maybe the Floran/Floran and Human/Floran stuff maybe... No, no exclusions on that, no R34 at all.

Same goes for crossover R34 stuff... I wouldnt mind some way to get certain pokemon into Starbound with a mod (Hell yeah, Mewtwo, Mesprit and Gardevoir as followers/critters) but again: Never anything including R34 in it... before somebody goes ahead and adds these immages in a mod which destroyed my "child" "hood" "memories" of Pokemon... Damn all these pervs out there... srsly damn them... My favourite Pokemons used in perverted poses... and pervertified... srsly... off topic, back to topic...

Sadly a quite big "fear" became true: Theres already a pony mod... not because I hate bronies and ponies (Just clarifying I dont like them either. I am neutral towards that) but I hoped we had some more time before we get to that point... Need to clarify this... as far I can tell as soon theres something like a Pony mod or other typical mods (XYZ Crossover mods) then as I observed the community is sorta done developing... Again I am comparing to minecraftforums.net which is a terrible comparasion... might make my entire "Oh god a pony/starwars/JamesBond/CharlieBrown/Matrix Mod/Vectorcalculus Simulator mod" argument completly invalid...

But that usually means that at some point we will have technology mods like we have with minecraft with the FTB modpack... for that I honestly cant wait ^^

• Half-life/portal
• Anime (any unsuitable ones really)
• Vampire mods before Werewolf mods
• Needless videogame mods
• Racist mods
• Justin biber mods

Is it a worry that I got half a dozen mods that should be made ideas from this as well?
