Mods you DON'T wanna see

(coming from Don't Starve mods...) One of my pet peeves is crap-tastic new character mods. Everyone with a Crayola over there is doing a new character mod and most of them are awful and do things to your eyes you can never recover from.

The first time I read the title of this thread, I thought this was some kind of hate discussion against the forum mods.

 

A mythical weapons mod pack like mjonlr or some other shit

 

While I think this thread is fruitless, as many mods will appear whether we wish them to or not, and after they appear we can be free to ignore them as we please, I will say this. I don't want to see an MLP mod. Wait no. Who am I kidding? I'd love to see what could be accomplished with an MLP mod.

The only mod I don't want to breathe on, see or find a link to is... well I can't really think of one. Heck, make every mod. I challenge someone to make every mod in this thread, out of spite if nothing else.

 

Hmm... I don't know of any I specifically don't want, but I really hope there aren't tons of ridiculous mods, like some other games... *cough* Minecraft *cough*
I guess no MLP... I've seen an MLP mod in Minecraft, and it was terrible (no offense, bronies and pegasises)

 

I personally think planetary destruction would be great.... for a Youtube video mostly

Anything that is remotely related to Skyrim's real mares mod

Mods I don't want to see are the ones were people get the ability to terraform entire planets, creative mode, give yourself 1 hit kill anything weapons, unlimited money, remove important mechanics because they inconvenience you. Or if you spend one day now the rest of the game is half as easy.

Pretty much mods that are popular because they ignore the games balance. Instead of taking it and building from it. And will make you so lazy you don't want to play vanilla anymore.
The worst offender or the mod I rather hate was the X-ray mod from minecraft.

Ruining game balance firstly by letting a player see all the resources and mobs. And then used to grief and not allow any players secret bases or secret stashes. And you wouldn't even know if someone was using it much of the time.

 

to be honest, i'd be impressed, because you'd need to make starbound 3D.

 

100 percent giant meteor chance mod! Now everyone can experience the rage!

realistic health regeneration mod! Wait three hours in game for your bleeding to stop, and six months for that fall damage to heal!

dietary requirements mod! If you don't eat your veggies, you die!!

force PVP in all sectors mod! Get 0wned by full impervium bonehammer wielders the second you beam down onto any planet!

To bad, there already are some MLP related ones.

Though, I guess I wouldn't want to see a mod that just isn't too well thought out.

I have to ask.. Malkavian as in, the vampire? Because frankly, that would be beautiful.

 

Pony mods, More specifically if its one of those mods that cater to one of its Horrific Sub fandoms.

 

I'm kind of sick of the plethora of, honestly, lack-luster custom race mods. I won't name anything specific because I don't really want to put anyone down, but as general advice; tone it down or put more effort into it. If your "custom race" could have been accomplished much easier by just adding a hat I think you've got a problem.
