Mods you DON'T wanna see

In all truth, I wish Starbound didn't have any mods whatsoever. They're fun, but they drag attention away from what the devs created to the mods. They'll be made anyways.

Anything unbalanced, or anything that is perverted. That's really about it, there are some that I wouldn't play, but that is just personal taste.
A zombie survival mod might be ok depending on how it's implemented, because I haven't seen a good zombie game in some time. For example I think this would be fun.

 

I mostly just don't want to see a Minecraft mod. It seems like every game that can be modded has one, and it's always insanely popular no matter how poorly done it is. Mostly due to those kids that think they're so cool because they know what Minecraft is.

 

There you have it folks, spoken by the great demon himself.

 

I think this is an only-me situation, but i really feel like hacking mods for items ruin the experience of playing through the game and working your way up to things with skill & persistence .

Did I say they couldn't have an opinion? I said that people were trolling a bit. And I guarantee a few folks were.

 

I don't really want to see any race mods, to be honest. They sound good in theory, quite often, but the lore rarely gets into and intertwines with the game, especially as they're never mentioned in the lore of the vanilla factions. For example, if I write a scripture for faction C, and a player finds it while playing as a character from mod Z, Faction C might mention vanilla factions A and B but not mention the player's new modded faction, Z. It'd just be weird and kindof out of place to me.

mlp is actually one of the things that made me quit tf2
the community was/is obsessed with it, the sprays, chat, usernames, avatars

I want to see all the mods.

All of them. Every mod possible.

I want mods that turn this game into a HD first person shooter, and mods that turn it into a traditional turn based RPG.
I want mods that add gameplay elements and streamline others. I want fix mods, I lore friendly mods, I want lore breaking mods.

I want Ponies, I want Pokemon, I want Doctor Who.
I want Mods that mod mods. I want mods that mod the mods that mod mods.
I want Super Mecha Fighting Simulator 2014, and OP 9999 damage shotguns.
Retextures and visual enhancements.

And at the end of the day, when I see all these mods. I'll be happy knowing I can choose to have them or not have them. Because they are mods, and they exist so everyone can have their own customized game play experience.

I agree mostly, but what I usually do is Play Vanilla until I have almost nothing left to do then play with mods, any and all mods that look fun.
but that's my way of doing things.

 

I think other people have covered all the mods I don't want to see LOL, I don't even need to say.

but I mod I would like to see is an ARMORED CORE MOD, that adds awesome Mecha warfare... I mean who doesn't like Laser Beams, Rocket Thrusters, Giant Machines, and Explosive destruction with mass amounts of missiles, oh and can't forget Beam Swords.
