Not that I don't think Chucklefish can add more than enough content, but mods always add stuff that might not fit the game, but is still awesome. It's always frustrating when the developers attempt to mod-proof their game.

I think the team should focus on getting the game out a mod support later after realise. But I think it should be added in the future definably.

Exactly, it shouldn't be their top priority, but it's important.

Fully integrated mod support like TES, would be a very nice thing to have in a game like this.

I think Mod Support should be in it before the game becomes too complex for it to be viable. What I mean is that the longer they put it off, the less likely mod support can exist.

I think it is very important that they get a mod support ready soon, which they obviously won't do anyway, but hopefully a skilled modder from the community will make one.
I have seen some times a very bright comparison to represent it. Imagine the mod support is a main character in the Harry Potter novels, let's say, the sister of Hermiona who's going to Hogwarts with them. Starting to write the novels with her wouldn't be any particular trouble. But imagine trying to add it once all the seven books are written? Yeah, pretty hard, isn't it.

Tiy has already said he wants to include mod support so it's not a case of "Should it be implemented" but a case of "When should it be implemented"

They did say they are not forgetting modding.

Which is very promising, modding can give so much life to a game.
Just look at minecraft, pistons do so much for the game and that was a mod.

I dont know if I am going to use mods soon. There are so many things to do first! Like finding all 21.000 Rocket Launchers perhaps? naw just kding.

Yes, modding is very fun in almost every game. The modding aspect of a game adds things that the game devs don't have time to add, for example, Skyrim: The steam workshop adds so many possibilities that never would've happened if modding wasn't implemented. And so, Starbound will be amazing with mods. They don't need the steam workshop, but that makes modding a lot easier.

I agree to agree to have the game thoroughly inspected for all kinds of glitches and bugs, THEN modding support will be of importance. I'm not worried about this game at all, it'll be fine, we'll all eventually have what we want.
