[Mod] Starbound Community Mod

Well, it fires a fish (which is attached to a chain). Ideally, it would damage your opponents by biting them and be able to grab smaller creatures and spit them back, or devour them and spit them back as acidic balls of half-digested flesh.

 

I'm a decent pixel artist.

 

I've got another design. I've heard it creates rainbow shockwaves on impact. Let's hope it's not copyrighted.

Edit: Apparently the gif, name and song are copyrighted. The sprite doesn't seem to be.

That's ok mods can cross into dangerous copyrighted territory, look at the portal mod for minecraft valve copyrighted the out of the portal gun, but as long as the mod isn't making money where good.

 

Essentially it's a bow that shoots energy arrows that either explode on impact or penetrate enemies.

The ocean star is a bow but its already done, Mombasa did it.

 

Come on guys, we don't even know when the game is going to come out. Isn't this a bit too soon?

 

Not really, we want to get this mod out ASAP and doing all the sprites now really saves us a lot of time.

 

You are right but some people enjoy doing pixel art in his spare time, I think it would be interesting keep this people who enjoy doing this make things for Starbound. (this helps me to kill a bit the hipe )

This is a kind of graphic resource bank, in the future when a modder need something or are interested they will have a great number of content , with time this resource bank will be bigger and as soon as modders have the mod API we will be able to have a lot of content very soon

40k universe, space marine styled armour. me and my friends find the space exploration of starbound a perfect game to role-play some 40k scenarios.

 

haha was wondering how long it would be before some one suggested that I thought the chainsaw sword would be on here before the armor though.

 

lol. well, the chainsword was suggested so many times in the post Tiy had asking what kind of sci fi weapons we like, i figured i wouuld wait to see if it isnt already in there. but i have not seen armour sugestions yet.

 

Ya in my opinion it won't be do to copyrighting same with the sword but there are ways around copyrighting *cough* mods *cough*.

 

A mod is something unofficial so it's okay to make and do things with copyright, in fact the mods are the only way to put things of other franchises in games, Warhammer 40,000 has mods in Battlefield, Fallout... Why not in Starbound? surely there are many fans who appreciate play with a power armor or a suit or death korps of krieg ...
