    The proposed mod would add a craftable, activateable beacon that will summon your modular mech. Particularly for asteroid bases, or planet-side.
    Could also add an alternate version that places a decoration of your mech, and is forcibly updated when activated with a button or switch. Possibly could act as a chair.

    Umm, this mod sort of already exists. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1114465299&searchtext=mech+beacon but there is no non-steam version that I could find.
