Modding Discussion mod request: esthers manipulator

ive found esthers manipulator to be really neat, wondering if anyone can make a mod to change the appearance to that for me?

About the size of the proper scaling, only slightly tilted.

 

Given the MM sprite is only 11x11, getting any kind of detail is next to impossible. Best you could do is color.

 

The larger one could be used in the tooltip image, assuming it's a replacement for the player's.

 

Would there be any way to recolor a manipulator in a way that would show up in multiplayer?

 

No. Graphical changes require all people to have the mod in order to see.

 

Unless you somehow mod the game to use the replace colors parameter on vanilla items.

Exactly, Iv Recolored just about everything with parameters, But what Im really interested is figuring out a way to recolor the manipulator and the morph ball. I was thinking maybe isurt the replace parameters in the loading paths for the manipulator.png so that it would be universal across all your characters but still show up in MP.

 

Doesnt that still require the new interface config to be loaded on the server?
