It's something I've been waiting to see for quite a lot of time, and even though I loved how CF did implement that for some monsters I'd like to see it for characters as well. However, I didn't see it listed on the upcoming features so I'll just assume it's something we'll never get unless some kind modders do the job. So, I request for death animations for NPCs and player characters. Nothing gory or PG18, just something other that "pop goes the human lol". I'm aware there's a nice respawn animation for every race but I play hardcore so I never get to see that. Death is death, rebirth is rebirth. I'd do it myself, but I'm no code monkey, unfortunately.
there is a file in animations/playerdeath/playerdeath.png You just have to edit that. I hope this is what you were aiming for.
